CHICO- Dinner Theatre and Cabaret Shows will be the featured entertainment at the Holiday inn located at 685 Manzanita Court in Chico, this coming fall.
Masone's Dinner Theatre Co. has been contracted to bring this style of entertainment to the inn.
Steven Masone, Producer and Artistic Director, brings over 30 years of theatrical, food, and beverages experience to the new operation at the Holiday Inn. Masone started Sacramento's first Broadway style Dinner Theatre in 1976, at the then Sheraton Inn. The response was tremendous which led him to also bring his shows to The Bachhus Dinner Theatre in Old Sacramento. Masone was also instrumental in the launch of Sacramento's Garbeau's Dinner Theatre which closed two years ago, but not while under his direction. The theatre company will also manage The Star of India Restaurant, Pirandelo's American Cafe' and the New Breakfast Cafe which he has already opened.
Auditions for the fall shows at the Holiday Inn are every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6-8 PM. The productions being featured this year are:
"Six Characters in Search of an Author" Adapted...,
"A Christmas Carol" (musical Adaption)
a Broadway Musical (KMK?) yet to be announced.
Opening night for Six Characters is set for November 11th & 12th. The Cabaret will have comedy, musical & dance Revues, and original productions.
Actors of all ages as well as singers, dancers, comedians, tech crew, and theatre staff are invited to try out for parts or apply to assist the productions. An assistant musical director and several choreographers are also needed.
